Install the meter.
Download
From /account/licenses, click "Download" next to your active license. The installer is signed with an EV certificate; Windows SmartScreen should let it through without prompting.
Run the installer
The installer drops the meter to %LOCALAPPDATA%\dpsvault\. No admin elevation needed. It registers a per-user shortcut and a start-on-boot toggle (default off).
Activate the license
On first launch, the meter asks for your license key — copy it from /account/licenses and paste. The meter binds to this machine's hardware ID and confirms with the license server. After that, it works fully offline.
Start the game
Launch your game as normal. The meter detects it within ~5 seconds and a small overlay appears in the corner you configure. The overlay is click-through by default so it never interferes with the game.
Opt in to the archive (optional)
By default, parses stay local. Toggle "Upload to dpsvault archive" in the meter's Settings if you want your parses to feed the public leaderboards. Disable any time.
